ISD’s Jennie King speaks at the Natural History Museum about the impact of climate mis- and disinfo

ISD’s Head of Climate Research and Policy, Jennie King, joins fellow field experts at the Natural History Museum in London this Wednesday to discuss the impacts of climate mis- and disinformation, the strategies being used to mislead the public, and what can be done to tackle this issue. The panel is scheduled to last for an hour and then discussion will be opened up to the public.

Speakers include:

  • Jennie King, ISD’s Head of Climate Research and Policy and one of the founders of the Climate Action Against Disinformation (CAAD) coalition
  • Erica McAlister, Principal Curator of Flies and Fleas at the Natural History Museum
  • Disha Ravi, climate and environmental justice activist who founded Fridays for Future India in 2019
  • Amy Westervelt, award-winning investigative print and audio journalist

This talk is part of the museum’s Generation Hope: Act for the Planet, an “annual programme that delves into the challenges and solutions for people and planet.” It consists of a series of workshops, panels and talks “created in partnership with young people, for young people.”

This year’s workshops will run from 7-10 of February (complete programme available on the website).
